Nanã Buruku
Our first goddess from African mythology is named Nanã Buruku. She receives a fine Coconut Cream Ale.
As the third goddess of our African mythology series, Mami Wata emerges, a Double IPA with a fine mango aroma.
She is arguably the most famous and mysterious figure of African waters: Mami Wata. She is often depicted as a beautiful mermaid, half woman, half fish, sometimes with a snake around her neck.
Her appearance is no coincidence, reminiscent of the proud figureheads of old sailing ships that once crossed the oceans. Mami Wata is the mistress of luck and wealth, but also of the dangers of the sea. She lures with beauty and promises prosperity, but demands absolute loyalty. She is the symbol of the connection between worlds – those who came across the water and those who lived there.
Like the old merchant ships that brought precious cargo from distant lands, this beer also brings an exotic treasure into your glass: A Double IPA (DIPA) with the power of the ocean.
The goal was clear: We wanted to capture the aroma of juicy mango – that fruit that once found its way to us via those very trade routes. But we didn’t use any fruit. Instead, we rely entirely on the magic of hops.
The base is formed by the Australian Vic Secret, known for its pineapple and pine notes. But it is only through dry hopping with the legendary Citra hops that the full magic unfolds: An intense, sweet mango aroma that pours from the glass and immediately seduces you. A strong beer for a strong goddess – dangerously drinkable!
I live my own life, free from all ties.
