Nanã Buruku
Our first goddess from African mythology is named Nanã Buruku. She receives a fine Coconut Cream Ale.
The first apocalyptic rider arises – and brings a beer that speaks volumes.
When the first riffs of the Metal Storm Concert ring out, the seals open. The apocalypse begins not with a bang, but with a deceptive shimmer on the horizon.
Here comes the first of the four apocalyptic riders: Zelos, who rides on the White Horse. In the ancient scriptures, he holds a bow and wears a crown. He is the conqueror, the zealot, the bringer of pestilence.
He comes not with anger, but with an almost blinding brightness. His white steed stands for the apparent peace before the storm, for the false prophet, or the infectious disease that spreads silently. He is the seductive beginning of the end.
Fitting the color of the white horse, we have brewed a White Ale (Belgian Wit).
Do not be deceived: this beer seems as innocent as the color white itself. It is naturally cloudy, bright, and gives off a fresh, almost sweet scent. On the palate, it is incredibly drinkable and pleasant, a gentle seducer that flows down the throat.
But just like Zelos, who hits from afar with his bow, this beer has a hidden power. It is the perfect, refreshing start to a long festival – a “pestilence” that you catch voluntarily and with pleasure. This is how the beginning of the apocalypse tastes: frighteningly good.
