Osiris
Our Osiris concludes the Egyptian mythology series and is simultaneously the first Witbier of our brewery.
Our third Egyptian deity is the god of funerary rites, Anubis!
When the body is laid to rest and the soul begins its journey, Anubis waits. The jackal-headed god is the lord of funerary rites and the undisputed master of embalming. He ensures that the vessel is preserved for eternity and the soul is guided safely through the darkness.
His most important moment is the “Weighing of the Heart”. In the Hall of Two Truths, Anubis places the heart of the deceased on one scale and the feather of Ma’at (truth) on the other. If the heart is heavy with guilt, the journey ends. But if it is light and in balance with the feather, the path to Osiris opens. Anubis is not a judge who condemns, but the guardian of the balance between life and death.
For the god of darkness and perfect balance, we have brewed a beer that lies in the glass as pitch-black as the night on the Nile: An Oatmeal Stout.
To continue the agricultural tradition of Egypt in our series, one very specific ingredient plays the lead role here: Flaked oats.
These flakes are the tip of the scales. They ensure that the strong, dark roasted malts and the notes of dark chocolate and coffee do not appear too harsh, but are embedded in an incredibly soft, creamy texture. We searched – just like Anubis with the feather of Ma’at – for the perfect balance between roastiness and softness. The result is a full-bodied, almost “embalming” stout that proves: darkness can also be gentle.
Have no fear. I will guide you safely on your next path.

Our first goddess from African mythology is named Nanã Buruku. She receives a fine Coconut Cream Ale.
The first deity from our Celtic mythology series is Teutates, an Amber Ale with spelt malt and refined with linden blossoms.
