The Legend

Our Single-Hop IPA brings forth an excellently fruity aroma with the intense "Vic Secret" hop.

When the sea gets rough and the waves tower black, then Rán is at work. She is the third goddess of our Norse series and the undisputed mistress of the deep. While her husband Ægir often embodies the hospitable and calm aspects of the ocean, Rán represents the unpredictable, dark side of the sea.

In her realm at the deepest bottom of the sea, she rules over all life in the water – and over those who dared to challenge the sea and lost. Rán weaves a magical net that no sailor can escape once she has cast it. She drags the ships into the depths and grants the drowned a final resting place in her echoing underwater palaces, far away from Valhalla or Helheim. She is the beauty and the danger of the ocean in one figure.

The Beer

For a goddess who makes no compromises, we have brewed a beer that focuses entirely on a single ingredient: A Single Hop IPA.

Just as Rán alone rules over the depths, only a single hop reigns in this brew: Vic Secret. Many already know this Australian hop as a supporting character in our Amber Ale, but here it is finally allowed to unfold its full, unadulterated potential.

We have “dry-hopped” this IPA to extract the essential oils to the maximum. The result is a net of intense, fruity aromas that immediately captures you. Vic Secret brings a massive punch of tropical fruits, passion fruit, and a resinous pine note that is as profound as Rán’s ocean itself. A beer for those who dare to explore the full taste of the deep.
