Nanã Buruku
Our first goddess from African mythology is named Nanã Buruku. She receives a fine Coconut Cream Ale.
Woe to you, oh Earth and Sea. For the Devil sends the beast with wrath because he knows the time is short... Let him who hath understanding reckon the number of the beast, for it is a human number. Its number is six hundred and sixty six.
It began with a number that, like no other in history, stands for the dark and the mystical: 666.
When our Instagram community reached exactly this devilish number of followers, the pact was sealed. We called for a vote, and the community demanded a tribute. The result was clear: a beer with 6.66% alcohol.
This beer bears no name, because it needs none. It is simply The Number of the Beast. The design is an uncompromising bow to the dark gods of 80s/90s Death and Black Metal. Black and white, covered with skulls as symbols of transience – a label as “trve” as the sound that belongs to it. Limited to exactly 666 bottles, it is a collector’s item for those who understand the dance between light and shadow.
But as is often the case, the appearance of darkness is deceiving. Those who open the pitch-black “Beast” decorated with skulls experience “Lux ex Tenebris” – light out of the darkness.
In the glass, it is not a black hole that shines, but a radiant, golden Belgian Blonde.
We stuck (almost) exactly to the specification: with around 6.66% ABV (perhaps a tiny bit more, but who wants to haggle with the devil?), this beer has some serious power. It is complex, fruity, and possesses that dangerous drinkability that makes Belgian beers so treacherous. A beer that smiles at you with its golden color while meeting you with the strength of a hammer. A circle. No beginning, no end. Just damn good beer in between.
