Amber Ale (The Godless)

In the beginning, there was chaos. Before Zeus hurled his lightning bolts, before Odin sacrificed his eye, and before the Pharaohs tamed the Nile, there was silence in the kettles.

Our very first beer does not bear the name of a god, because it was there before them. We call it The Godless. It is the Big Bang of our brewery, the foundation on which the pantheons were later built. It stands for pure, unadulterated brewing – free from divine whims, raw, wild, and the beginning of everything. It is proof that you don’t need a god to create something divine.

The Beer

This Amber Ale is our firstborn. And as befits a firstborn, it is a bit rebellious.

Visually, it seduces with a beautiful, glowing amber color, very classic for the style. But the first sip is a surprise that breaks with tradition: it is unfiltered and possesses a hoppy soul that one would sooner expect in a modern craft beer.

We used the Australian hop Vic Secret – a variety with high alpha acid that is normally reserved for powerful IPAs. The result is an Amber that pairs its malty sweetness with an intense, fruity hop explosion. It tastes almost like a summery IPA, disguised in the garment of a classic. A drinkable rule-breaker with which our journey began.
