The Legend

The bridal couple and their two witnesses brewed a wedding beer with us. At the request of the couple, we dedicated this to the Norse goddess of love and marriage.

When two people say “I do,” the gods look down with favor. For our very first commissioned beer – a wedding beer – the bride and groom chose none other than Freya as their patroness.

In Norse mythology, she is the radiant mistress of love, beauty, and marriage. She weeps tears of red gold and rides across the spring sky in a chariot pulled by cats. Freya is the embodiment of passion and life in bloom. There is no better blessing for a new life together than the kiss of this goddess.

The Beer

Fitting the radiant occasion and the golden goddess, we brewed an elegant Golden Ale. It sparkles in the glass like the wedding rings themselves.

Since the wedding took place in spring, the beer was intended to breathe the spirit of this season: fresh, fruit-forward, and full of hope. We chose a very special hop combination for this: Galena and Ariana.

These two varieties harmonize splendidly and coax a surprisingly clear note of ripe pear from the malt body. It is a fine, accessible beer that is not dominated by bitterness, but impresses with its fruity elegance. A true love elixir for the most beautiful day in life. Skål to the bridal couple!

For love.
