DIVINE TEMPEST - A Divine Storm Unleashed

September – finally, the time had arrived to complete our Japanese mythology cycle! Following the epic kickoff with Izanagi and Izanami, we summoned the horde back to the Victoria Areal at the brewery under the banner DIVINE TEMPEST. Answering the call to properly welcome the tempestuous forces of Raijin and Fūjin into our ranks were three ferocious bands – including a genuine Swiss premiere!

Storm, Malt & Mythology: The Gods of the Sky

As passionate metalheads, one thing is crystal clear: a proper divine beer release demands heavy riffs and freshly tapped pints. Taking center stage were the two godly brothers:

  • Raijin (West Coast IPA): Dedicated to the God of Thunder. Straw-yellow, bone-dry, and fortified with a cutting bitterness. A massive hop firework of Chinook, CTZ, Idaho 7, and Strata strikes like a bolt of lightning.
  • Fūjin (East Coast IPA): Dedicated to the God of Wind. Velvety smooth, hazy, and packed with tropical fruit explosions thanks to seven exquisite hop varieties.

Just like with their ancestors Izanagi and Izanami, we used delicate rice flakes as a unifying signature in the brewhouse for both brothers.

And because two new beers simply aren’t enough to quench our thirst, we secretly sneaked a third new arrival into our lineup: Luminas! A naturally cloudy lager brewed with an exclusive Swiss yeast strain – lean, velvety, exceptionally drinkable, and tailor-made for long nights of live music.

Day of the Tempest: September 19, 2026

The weather played along once again: under brilliant late-summer sunshine, we opened the gates at 5:00 PM for our open-air gathering. The taps ran hot from the very first minute as the grounds filled up fast.

The Line-up of Primal Forces:

  • Ministry of Sin: At 6:00 PM, the Lucerne-based crew seized the stage. Straightforward, crushing, and right in your face, they hammered their metal sound into the crowd – the perfect, no-compromise kickoff to the evening!
  • Tyrmfar: Up next, the blackened death metallers from Lower Valais stormed the boards. Despite minor technical sound challenges early on, they held the crowd spellbound within seconds. Dark, crushing walls of riffs swallowed the light, conjuring an icy, mesmerizing atmosphere.

Portuguese Sonic Tempest: The Swiss Premiere

As twilight fell over the grounds, the time had come for our headliner: Dark Oath took the stage – celebrating their very first show on Swiss soil!

What followed was nothing short of monumental: with their epic symphonic melodic death metal, the Portuguese band ignited a musical inferno that sent the crowd into absolute frenzy. After a relentless 60-minute set, the regular show came to a close amid roaring applause. But the crowd was far from done – deafening chants for an encore echoed across the entire venue.

Backstage, brief perplexity took over: the band genuinely hadn’t prepared any more songs! Following a quick consultation, frontwoman Sara stepped back to the mic with a wide grin: “We don’t have any more songs prepared – do you just want to hear one of the tracks we played earlier again?!” The crowd answered with a bone-shattering YES! – and so the venue erupted in flames a second time to one of the band’s top favorites. Pure goosebumps to remember!

Until the Next Storm

Exhausted, drenched in sweat, and carrying huge smiles, the crowd slowly filed out into the night. What an evening, what a release!

A massive thank-you goes out to Ministry of Sin, Tyrmfar, Dark Oath, as well as all the hardworking crew, tap masters, and visitors who made this day legendary.

Keep the spirit alive!
